Company Dancers

Cassia Cramer, a Columbus, Ohio native, is a performing artist, Dance instructor, choreographer, entrepreneur, and the director of a 501(c)3 dance company. Ms. Cramer attended Point Park University where she exclusively studied the performing arts with a concentration in modern dance. Ms. Cramer also holds a Master’s in Business Administration with a concentration in Finance from Strayer University where she graduated with honors.

 

Ms. Cramer founded Seven Dance Company (SDC) in 2010 and received 501(c)3 status for SDC in 2011. SDC has been serving the community through the performing arts in various ways. SDC has created a home for Columbus artists and an environment for them to thrive, create, pursue, and build their artistic visions. SDC Collaborated with an OSU Astrophysicist to create “Song of the Stars”. This collaboration was formed to reach audiences of science, dance, and curiosity. The fusion created an atmosphere of learning and creativity which caught the attention of Cosi, OSU, PBS, and our local community. “Song of the Stars” Premiered at the Capital Theater and has since been seen at COSI, Lima City Schools, Gateway Film Center, and PBS nationwide. Ms. Cramer has been recognized in 614 Magazine, Columbus Alive, The Columbus Dispatch, City Scene, and Good Day Columbus for Columbus Contemporary Dance Company’s accomplishments. “Song of the Starts” also received the "Maria" award at the Escape Velocity Film Festival. The award cited the innovative blending of science, dance, and film. Ms. Cramer is striving to take SDC to places that dance has not gone before blending unique experiences seen through the vision of artist.  

 

In 2012 Ms. Cramer founded Seven Dance Academy which provided classical dance training to aspiring dancers ages 2-adult. Ms. Cramer had the pleasure of being not only the studio owner but the studio’s business director, accountant, PR executive, Choreographer, and Dance Teacher. Seven Dance Academy students were offered a ballet based curriculum with strong jazz, modern, contemporary and tap training.

 

Ms. Cramer has since returned to her home at Dublin Dance Centre & Gymnastics, where she is currently teaching, the Contemporary coordinator, Youth Company Director, and founder of DDC&G’s very own professional company, The W.I.M..

Joyelle Weaver has danced professionally since 2001. She holds a BFA and MFA in Dance, certification of all levels of teaching Ballet, Pointe and Partnering from American Ballet Theatre and certification in STOTT PILATES. She taught for Dance Theatre of Harlem, American Ballet Theatre, Ohio State University, University of Michigan, DCDC, University of Akron, and BalletMET. Her students have performed with Dancing Wheels, Grand Rapids Ballet, Nashville Ballet, Louisville Ballet, and Verb Ballet. Since 2014, she has collaborated with Columbus Jazz Arts Group, Seven Dance Company Columbus, the Ohio Department of Education, and as Board Member of OhioDance. In 2021, Joyelle was a choreography finalist in the International Online Dance Competition. She is faculty in the Department of Dance at the Ohio State University. Joyelle has devoted her life and work to teaching and imparting a love and appreciation for dance to all her students. She has been teaching at DDC&G since 2017 and co-directs the Ballet Company. She lives in the Columbus area with her husband and two daughters.

Paige Hartley is a professional dancer who began studying dance at age 6 at the Ruth Mitchel Dance Theater in Atlanta. She trained extensively with Trinette Singleton, Winthrop Corey, Stanislav Issaev, Jimmy Locust, Todd Eric Allen, Martha Goodman, and Caroline Cavallo. Her many ballet performance credits include Cinderella, Sleeping Beauty, The Nutcracker, Swan Lake and Paquita. Paige moved to New York City to work at STEPS on Broadway and toured the US with Total Entertainment and Bacchus Productions as a dancer and choreographer. In 2006 she performed with Cirque Du Soleil’s Corteo and choreographer Cecilia Marta. Jazz is Paige’s favorite dance style and she always loves to incorporate technique from Giordano, Luigi, Jerome Robbins, and most of all Bob Fosse. Paige discovered Pilates in 2006 and earned a 600 hour comprehensive teaching certification through Power Pilates. She also holds certifications in Core Barre and Yoga. Paige and her husband live in Dublin with their two daughters and Basset Hound.

As a central Ohio native, Faith is a well rounded dancer and teacher with extensive training in Ballet, Pointe, Contemporary, Modern, Creative Movement, Jazz, Tap, Hip-Hop, & certified in Ballet Strength/Conditioning (PBT). In 2016 she began dancing at the professional level in Modern and Contemporary. Faith currently choreographs and performs as a company member with Columbus Modern Dance Company and special projects under the direction of Cassia Cramer. In 2017, she was one of three American dancers accepted to train pre-professionally in a Brazilian ballet trainee program. Faith had the opportunity to dance in the historical re-staging of Martha Graham’s “Heretic” in 2018 and Doris Humphrey’s “Water Study” in 2023. She enjoys telling a story with her movement and assisted in creatively producing “The Nutcracker Variation 2021” under Cassia Cramer. Faith has also won choreography and prop creativity awards at competitions. When not dancing, Faith & her husband enjoy taking their children to her In-laws 200 acre farm and caring for the animals.
